    Urban wood is made from trees grown in or around cities or towns. We mill trees from backyards, street right of ways, and parks across the Grand Valley. These trees are typically removed due to disease, decay, or development. The wood can be used for everything your imported hardwood is used for.
  • How can I donate logs to Cradle to Grave Wood?

  • What are the size requirements for logs donations to Cradle to Grave Wood?
    Logs must be at least 6 feet long and have a minimum dbh of 16 inches.
  • Are the trees tracked?
    Yes! We keep track of where the tree came from and who donated it. Our slabs include a tag that tells you the tree species, tree company that donated it, and where it came from.
